WeLoveU Holds Largest Cleanup in Northeast Philadelphia History

State Rep Solomon holding Citation with WeLoveU representatives

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, the International WeLoveU Foundation performed a remarkable cleanup in Northeast Philadelphia. The Father’s Day cleanup was in partnership with State Representative Jared Solomon and Beasley Media Group Vice President Joe Bell. Over 300 volunteers from Maryland, New Jersey, and the local community gathered to help drive positive change while addressing environmental concerns.

Rep. Solomon stated that this was the biggest cleanup in Northeast Philadelphia, “Thank you for making our community better and brighter. I love you so much.” Solomon’s words highlighted the difference made by the WeLoveU Foundation and its volunteers in sharing love with the local community.

Coordinating the Northeast Philadelphia Cleanup

Dividing into 17 teams, the volunteers set out to clean over 110 assigned streets throughout the 202nd District. Through their collective effort, the volunteers managed to cover a significant area in just a short time. The impact of their hard work was evident in the remarkable collection of 4,000 pounds of trash within two hours.

To ensure the smooth execution of the cleanup, the WeLoveU Foundation organized a well-coordinated system that involved volunteer drivers for trash pickup. These drivers were readily available to transport the collected waste to a central location for proper disposal. This seamless coordination allowed the volunteers to focus on cleaning while ensuring the efficient removal of the trash.

Dedication to the Community

In addition to their cleanup activities, the WeLoveU volunteers went above and beyond by distributing cheer-up goodie bags to older community members living alone. This compassionate gesture aimed to brighten their day and emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to environmental preservation and fostering a sense of care and support within the community.

Joe Bell, vice president and market manager of Beasley Media Group, also praised the volunteers’ efforts, emphasizing the world’s scarcity of love, care, and enthusiasm. Bell’s acknowledgment highlighted the positive influence created by the volunteers’ passion. The WeLoveU Foundation and its volunteers continue to inspire and hope to make a lasting impact by promoting environmental awareness and community well-being. Their selflessness is a testament to the positive change that can be achieved through unity and collective action.
