HARRISBURG, PA—The International WeLoveU Foundation received a Certificate of Recognition from State Senator Christine Tartaglione and State Representative Jared Solomon at the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building. Thirty WeLoveU volunteers joined the Sessions of Congress and the Senate where they received the award on behalf of the foundation. This type of recognition is of highest honors in volunteer service.

Representative Solomon, whose worked with WeLoveU on multiple occasions said, “Over my career as a community organizer, attorney, Army Officer and legislator, I have met many individuals and groups dedicated to improving and uplifting communities. The WeLoveU Foundation outshines all the rest. I have never met a group so dedicated, upbeat, and eager to serve. They embody everything that civic pride is and should be; a zest for doing good and improving the lives of those less fortunate. If every group was like the WeLoveU Foundation, our world would be a much better place. I would work side-by-side with the WeLoveU Foundation anytime and anywhere. They inspire me and they will inspire you!”

Previous cleanups WeLoveU volunteers carried out in Pennsylvania include revitalization projects in Tarken Park, planting wildflowers in Philadelphia for cleaner air, removing graffiti and trash at the McVeigh Recreation Center, tackling major litter on Summerdale Avenue and Castor Avenue, and restoring the George Washington Carver Center. Last year, the WeLoveU Foundation also received the U.S. President’s Call to Service Award for a second time in a row for volunteerism and the Green Apple Award for best environmental practice.

WeLoveU has made a firm commitment to improve the quality of life through five initiatives: Blood Drives, Disaster Relief, Social Welfare, Environmental Protection, and International Aid. Its core values revolve around promoting unity and friendship among all people of the global village—beyond nationality, race, religion, and socioeconomic status—through impactful environmental and social welfare initiatives carried out with the heart of a mother. In addition, WeLoveU believes a mother’s love is the key ingredient to inspire change and improve the lives of many throughout the global community.
