Intl. WeLoveU Foundation Donates 60 New Coats to Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the International WeLoveU Foundation donated 60 new coats to the Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School in Pittsburgh, PA. The event was a success; everyone was delighted to see the students receive new coats.

Making Memories

The students at the Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter School were thrilled to receive new coats. They also had the opportunity to take photos in the photo booth. And a local Panera Bread donated a variety of cookies. The event was a fun-filled day for the students, with smiles on their faces, feeling warm and appreciated.

Guest Speakers

Several special guests, including the CEO of Urban Pathways and Davonn Brown from the Councilperson’s office, joined. The CEO of Urban Pathways expressed his gratitude to the Foundation for its support and emphasized the importance of community involvement in helping children succeed. Davonn Brown also spoke, highlighting the foundation’s work in the community and encouraging others to make a difference.

“Thank you to the WeLoveU Foundation. The fact they chose to partner with us means a lot to me, and it means a lot to our school,” said Brandon Cooney, CEO of Urban Pathways K-5 College Charter.

“Events like this are important at schools because it’s an incredible thing for students to recognize that people care about them beyond their faculty and family, and to see that there is a wider community working together to make sure they have success,” said Davonn Brown, community engagement coordinator and constituent services manager for Councilperson Erika Strassberger. He continued, “I’m a big proponent of nonprofits getting involved in schools. At the end of the day, to solve all of the problems in society, which are many, we need partnership across the board.”

Proclamation from the Office of Pittsburgh Council

WeLoveU received a proclamation from the office of Councilperson Erika Strussburger, recognizing the foundation’s efforts to improve the lives of children in the community. The Councilperson’s office commended the WeLoveU Foundation for its commitment to helping children in need and for positively impacting the community.

  1. This is very heartwarming! All of the children look so happy. I am sure it made their day. I see the teachers were also happy since they care about the well-being of their students. I would like to help more children in my area.

  2. This was such a fun event! All the kids were so happy and appreciative. I’m glad I was able to attend. Can’t wait to come back again soon to volunteer at another Pittsburgh WLU event👍🏻
