The Intl. WeLoveU Foundation hosted the Packs on Backs and Tools for Schools program in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. On Sunday, September 29, 2024, essential school supplies brought joy to 300 children in the Turgeau area. It was a memorable day filled with fun and learning.
A Day Full of Fun and Activities
The WeLoveU volunteers decorated the venue. Decorations, hot meals, face painting, games and music filled the space. Children enjoyed the engaging activities before the anticipated supply distribution.
The Highlight of the Day
Each child received a brand new backpack filled with school supplies. The supplies included two notebooks, pencils, pens, a sharpener, an erase, and a ruler. In total, WeLoveU distributed 300 backpacks, 3,000 supplies, and 450 hygiene kits. The hygiene kits contained a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, and feminine products.
Two distinguished guests joined the event. Former Minister of Education, Nesmy Manigat and Woodley Michel, a renowned logistics entrepreneur. Mr. Manigat generously donated 100 notebooks and books to the children. He also delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing education and hard work. His words encouraged the students to strive for success. Mr. Michel participated in distributing the kits alongside WeLoveU volunteers. Their involvement added a special touch to the day.
A Successful Event and a Brighter Future
The successful event came to a close. The Packs on Backs program in Haiti gave children the tools they needed for school. It also helped build a sense of community and hope for a better future.
In 2024, the program supported over 1,500 students in six states, plus Haiti. Participating states include Connecticut, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. In total, volunteers delivered over 33,000 supplies and 1,500 backpacks. The WeLoveU Foundation thanks its donors, supporters, and volunteers for a successful program!

What a moving and heartfelt initiative! The WeLoveU Foundation is really fostering the needs of others in the world, putting bright smiles on people’s faces. Well done!
